Zanzibar's own business registrar, established under Act No. 13 of 2012, replacing the former Registrar General's Office — separate from Mainland Tanzania's BRELA. Registers Zanzibar-based companies and businesses. Exporters based in Zanzibar must also separately register with the Zanzibar Ministry of Trade and Industry for a renewable export/import registration certificate under the Zanzibar Trading Act No. 14 of 2013.
