About ZBS
Zanzibar's own national standards body, established under the Zanzibar Standard Act No. 1 of 2011 — separate from Mainland Tanzania's TBS. Issues the Certificate of Conformity (CoC) for goods, including exports, originating in Zanzibar, and conducts Pre-Export Verification of Conformity (PVoC). SADCAS-accredited scope (certificate TEST-5 0094) is limited to pH testing of bottled water; the four capabilities listed above are real, priced, self-described commercial services and are not independently accredited.
